Apex Fintech Solutions partners with EDX Markets on digital assets
US investing infrastructure provider Apex Fintech Solutions has partnered with EDX Markets, a technology firm focused on digital assets. EDX combines an institutional-only trading venue with a central clearinghouse. Under the agreement, Apex will integrate EDX’s trading and clearing technology into its financial infrastructure to support its digital markets offering. The companies did not disclose the financial terms.
Institutional trading and clearing for digital assets
EDX operates a marketplace for institutional participants that is designed to offer transparent price discovery, liquidity, and reliable execution. Its model keeps trading separate from custody. The combined trading and clearing system is built to meet the performance and operational needs of firms entering digital asset markets. The partnership brings this technology together with Apex’s capabilities in traditional finance.
EDX Markets CEO Tony Acuña-Rohter said that firms active in crypto increasingly expect the standards they rely on in traditional financial markets. He said Apex shares EDX’s focus on applying established market principles to digital assets. He added that EDX will provide technology for the next phase of Apex’s digital markets strategy.
Apex expands its digital markets business
Apex provides clearing, custody, and investing infrastructure to brokerages, wealth managers, and fintech platforms. Its services give clients access to asset classes such as crypto, options, and prediction markets. Travis McGhee, Apex’s Global Head of Digital Markets, said digital assets are becoming more important to the financial system. He added that Apex aims to expand its offering while maintaining the standards its partners expect.
McGhee also said Apex needs partners that understand institutional market infrastructure and can integrate with its existing capabilities. The EDX agreement adds to Apex’s recent activity in digital assets. In September 2026, Apex joined Bullish, Equiniti, Alpaca, and DriveWealth to form the Issuer Sponsored Token Coalition. The initiative aims to set standards for tokenised securities linked to official shareholder registers.
Apex and EDX plan to build on their partnership to support secure trading and broader participation in digital asset markets.
