Banking Circle expands OSL's stablecoin and fiat settlement support to six currencies

Banking Circle has expanded its collaboration with OSL Group to support fiat settlement in five additional currencies. The relationship, previously focused on EUR, now covers AUD, EUR, GBP, HKD, SGD and USD.

Banking Circle is a Luxembourg-based payments infrastructure provider, while OSL Group operates a stablecoin payments and digital asset trading platform and is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under ticker 863. The expansion supports OSL's growing business-to-business activity across additional international markets.

Banking Circle expands OSL's fiat settlement infrastructure

Under the expanded agreement, Banking Circle will provide infrastructure for fiat settlement, crypto conversion and liquidity management across OSL's business platforms. The services will operate through BC-Now, Banking Circle's instant payment network.

BC-Now operates continuously, including weekends and public holidays. Through the infrastructure, OSL's institutional clients can receive, convert and settle funds internationally throughout the year through a single platform.

The model also reduces the need for OSL to maintain separate banking relationships in multiple jurisdictions. This allows the company to connect different currencies, payment rails and digital asset services through one infrastructure layer.

Regulation supports institutional stablecoin adoption

The expansion comes as regulatory frameworks for digital assets become clearer in major markets. Banking Circle and OSL pointed to the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, MiCAR, and the US GENIUS Act as developments supporting broader institutional adoption of stablecoins.

OSL has also expanded its regulatory position in Europe. Its European subsidiary, OSL EU, was recently authorised by the Austrian Financial Market Authority as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under MiCAR.

As stablecoins become more closely integrated with regulated financial services, companies increasingly require infrastructure that connects digital assets with traditional currencies. This includes compliant fiat on-ramps and off-ramps as well as payment and settlement capabilities.

Payment use cases become more important for digital assets

Kirit Bhatia, Chief Digital Assets Officer at Banking Circle, said the expanded cooperation reflects a wider shift among digital asset companies toward real-world payment applications. Banking Circle is supporting OSL with infrastructure designed to move funds across currencies, markets and payment rails.

Eugene Cheung, Chief Commercial Officer at OSL Group, said the next stage of digital asset adoption will increasingly depend on payment use cases. Businesses moving between fiat currencies and stablecoins require infrastructure that is regulated, scalable and connected across international markets.

The companies said the expanded partnership strengthens the infrastructure supporting OSL's global operations as the platform enters additional currencies and markets.

Banking Circle combines banking infrastructure with real-time payments

Banking Circle positions its platform as combining international reach, real-time payments and the regulatory status of a licensed bank. Its infrastructure is designed to allow financial institutions such as OSL to move funds across multiple markets, currencies and payment rails through a single interoperable platform.
