Checkout.com Expands Samsung Partnership and Will Offer Samsung Pay to Merchants
Checkout.com has signed an agreement with Samsung Electronics that expands the companies’ existing relationship. Checkout.com will provide acquiring, payment processing, and transaction optimisation across Samsung’s digital commerce ecosystem. Samsung Pay is also set to become available to Checkout.com merchants through Flow from 31 October 2026.
Expanding payments infrastructure
Checkout.com already processes payments for Samsung Gulf Electronics, supporting Samsung.com in the MENA region. The new agreement extends the relationship to more of Samsung Electronics’ digital commerce operations, including Samsung.com and the Galaxy Store in the EU and North America.
Samsung Electronics operates 221 sites across 76 countries. Its activities span mobile devices, consumer electronics, software, and connected services. Its digital channels include Samsung.com, the Galaxy Store, Samsung Wallet, and Samsung Pay. Expanding commerce into more markets requires payment infrastructure that can scale across regions.
Checkout.com will combine global and local acquiring with its payment processing platform. Samsung will also use Intelligent Acceptance, Checkout.com’s AI-powered transaction optimisation tool, which draws on real-time data from its global network. The companies say the services are intended to reduce payment failures, enable more flexible routing, and support a more consistent checkout across Samsung’s ecosystem.
Woncheol Chai, Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics, said the company needs payment infrastructure that is flexible, reliable, and able to scale across markets. The partnership is also intended to provide a more consistent foundation for Samsung’s digital commerce operations.
Samsung Pay on Flow
The second part of the agreement brings Samsung Pay to Flow. Checkout.com merchants will be able to offer the digital wallet at online and in-app checkout. Merchants that already use Checkout.com will be able to add Samsung Pay without building a separate integration.
Antoine Nougué, Chief Revenue Officer at Checkout.com, said that combining the company’s acquiring capabilities with Intelligent Acceptance and Flow will give Samsung more flexibility in its payments infrastructure. The combination will also give merchants more choice in how they accept payments.
Checkout.com’s enterprise growth
The Samsung agreement is part of Checkout.com’s continued expansion in the enterprise segment. It also reflects two wider trends: large merchants are increasingly consolidating acquiring and optimisation services with fewer providers, while digital wallet providers are reaching more merchants through existing integrations instead of onboarding them one by one.
