Klarna and TaxDome bring flexible payments to accounting firms
Klarna has partnered with TaxDome, a practice management platform for tax, bookkeeping, and accounting firms. Powered by Stripe, the integration makes Klarna available to customers of more than 15,000 TaxDome firms and their 6 million clients.
When paying for services, clients can pay in full, split the cost into four interest-free instalments, or choose financing. Klarna says the offer was designed with the needs of TaxDome customers in mind.
Flexible payments for professional services
Lisa Robinson, Head of Partner Success, US East Coast and Canada at Klarna, said the partnership reflects the company’s expansion beyond retail. In her view, professional services such as tax, bookkeeping, and accounting have lagged behind in payment innovation. Flexible payment options can benefit both service providers and their clients.
Patrick Payne, Director of Payments at TaxDome, said the partnership supports the company’s focus on services that benefit its business customers and their clients. TaxDome said it aimed not only to give clients more payment flexibility, but also to secure competitive rates for firms and provide their clients with access to 0% financing options.
Expanding beyond retail
Klarna has more than 120 million active users worldwide and processes 3.8 million transactions a day across more than 1.2 million retailers. Consumers can use Klarna online, in stores, and through Apple Pay and Google Pay. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
More than 15,000 practices in over 25 countries use TaxDome. The integration extends Klarna’s flexible payment options from retail into professional services billing. Accounting firms on the platform can offer instalments and financing without building their own payment arrangements.
