Peach Payments partners with Yoyo to add automatic cashback loyalty program to Digit Pro POS
African payment solutions provider Peach Payments has partnered with Yoyo to integrate an automated loyalty system with a cashback feature into the Digit Pro POS device.
The enhancement expands the capabilities of Digit Pro, which already supports alternative payment methods, buy now, pay later (BNPL) options, system integrations, and personalized payment screens.
The new solution allows customers to automatically collect and redeem rewards when paying with a bank card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. No additional apps, QR codes, or separate hardware are required, streamlining the transaction process for both merchants and consumers.
This solution is designed for merchants who want to encourage customers to return, thereby increasing customer value over the entire period of cooperation. It is ideal for restaurants, cafes, service centers, and retail stores that consumers visit regularly. The fact that they can earn and redeem rewards simply by paying for their purchases with a regular credit or debit card makes it an easy option for both consumers and merchants." – Rahul Jain, Founder and CEO of Peach Payments

The Yoyo loyalty product linked to a bank card was first introduced in Platō Coffee cafes in 2025, where it met with great interest from customers. Customers preferred to use their bank card as a loyalty ID, which reduced difficulties at the checkout.
"Our data shows that loyalty fundamentally changes customer behavior. Members visit us up to 40% more often and are 70% less likely to churn. When loyalty is directly built into the payment process, merchants move beyond short-term tactics and build measurable, long-term customer lifetime value." – Bevan Ducasse, CEO, Yoyo

Traditionally, loyalty programs operated independently of the payment process, requiring customers to swipe their loyalty card or scan an app, while merchants used separate systems to track rewards. With the new integrated approach, loyalty is activated directly at the point of sale, turning the POS terminal into a key channel for customer engagement and repeat behavior.
Over the past few months, Peach Payments has tested this solution in collaboration with three coffee shop chains and is now rolling it out to merchants using Peach Payments POS devices.
