Rwanda is opening a FinTech hub to support scalable digital finance solutions
Rwanda’s Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies and Innovation has reached an important milestone by launching the Rwanda FinTech Hub, underscoring the country’s steady progress in the field of digital finance. Minister Paula Musoni emphasized that Rwanda has achieved a financial inclusion rate of over 90 percent, but the focus is now on expanding fintech innovation to effectively meet the needs of businesses and communities.
During the event, Minister Musoni emphasized the importance of moving beyond pilot projects and implementing scalable fintech solutions that deliver tangible benefits. She called for coordinated action within the ecosystem to ensure the systematic development of initiatives and to support sustainable digital financial services across the country.
The opening of the FinTech Center in Rwanda is intended to serve as a catalyst for the development of the country’s fintech ecosystem, support innovation, promote access to financial services, and implement solutions that foster economic growth and community development.
